A moment of passion

November 24th, 2014 by TV Soap | No Comments | Filed in Bold and the Beautiful

Rick is starting to grow jealous of the newfound closeness between Ridge and Caroline, and if upcoming eps of The Bold and the Beautiful are anything to go by, it seems he has good cause to fear.

PASSION: Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) can no longer deny their attraction.

Rick (Jacob Young) wastes no time confronting his wife over her her supposed inappropriate behaviour. She insists that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is purely mentoring her and they have not crossed a line with each other.

Rick finds it hard to believe that Ridge needs to caress Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) in order to help her become a better designer but she explains that he is effectively guiding her hand in order to produce effective results. Rick scoffs, insisting Ridge’s actions must stop.

Caroline is appalled by her husband’s jealousy and points out that to be taught by one of the world’s premier designers is an exciting opportunity that she refuses to give up. Still, Rick orders that the collaboration must cease.

Finally, Caroline has no choice but to confess that Ridge can no longer draw on his own, due to his accident, and that she’s been helping him to produce designs. Rick is sympathetic but declares that his father needs to know about this handicap. Caroline begs Rick to stay quiet, but he insists that Eric (John McCook) has the right to know.

Rick charges into Eric’s office and exposes Ridge’s inability to design. Eric is stunned by the news as Ridge walks in. Eric asks if it’s true and Ridge confesses that at the moment, he has been robbed of his talent to sketch.

Rick proposes that Ridge be fired and Eric asks why his son didn’t come to him for help. Ridge insists he doesn’t need anyone’s help and Rick points out that his brother has no trouble accepting Caroline’s assistance.

Both men ask Eric to make a decision and he shocks them with the announcement that he’s stepping down as CEO in the very near future so that one of his sons can succeed him. But who will that be? Eric explains he’ll make that decision at a later time.

Ridge returns to his office where Caroline waits for him. She apologises for causing so much trouble and is disappointed that their association has to end.

Ridge pleads with Caroline not to let that happen, reminding her that they make a very creative team that shouldn’t be parted.

Caroline then admits to developing feelings for Ridge and insists she doesn’t want to risk her marriage.

Benji and Joel Madden

Like most of you, we have also caught The Voice fever here at TV Soap, so we’ve decided to share some surprising facts about coach Joel Madden and his mentor twin brother, Benji.

1. Benjamin Levi Madden and his twin brother legally changed their names from their father’s surname – Combs- to their mother’s maiden name, Madden, during their teenage years.

2. The boy’s band, is one of the bestselling punk acts in the world. “The day we started the band, the question was when we were going to make it, not if we were gonna make it,” Joel said.

3. Although the twins are considered identical, Benji is actually two inches shorter than his brother, who is also is also five minutes younger.

4. The brother’s unbreakable bond stemmed from a less than idyllic childhood. “When my dad left, I was always the one that was kind of, like, crying about it, like, ‘Why us, why us,” Joel said. “Lucky for me, I had Benji. We’ve always been sidekicks.”

5. Before he hit it big, Benji worked as a stock boy, a waiter and even a shampoo technician. He also co-founded the clothing company DCMA Collective, and hosted his own MTV show with Joel called All Things Rock.

6. When Joel first began playing Good Charlotte gigs, the lead singer would get so nervous that he would sing with his back to the audience.

7. Like his brother, Benji is covered in over 100 tattoos.

8. Joel, 33, once dated Disney darling, Hilary Duff, who’s eight years his junior. However, after nearly two-and-a-half years together, the couple parted ways.

9. Benji and his Good Charlotte bandmates have been actively involved in supporting multiple PETA animal rights campaigns.

10. In 2006, Joel and now-wife Nicole Richie welcomed their first child, daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden into the world. But before the birth, big softie Joel played host to a surprise baby shower for 100 expectant and new mums and the Los Angeles Free Clinic, handing out more than $200,000 worth of gifts.

.

CLOSE CALL: Rick (Jacob Young) and Liam (Scott Clifton) save Hope (Kimberly Matula) just in time.

A near-death experience doesn’t deter Amber from fuelling Hope’s worsening drug addiction on the The Bold and the Beautiful, but has Amber gone too far this time?

Initially, Amber is complacently proud of herself for being able to find an online source to provide the anti-anxiety medication that Hope has been craving. However, Hope is still under the misconception that her doctor authorised the pills that mysteriously turned up on her desk.

But when Dayzee finds Amber checking out medical resources on the computer, he warns that any place providing medication without a prescription is doing so illegally and can have dangerous consequences. Dayzee also informs Amber that sometimes the unethical companies are providing medication that can be poisonous and cause deaths! Amber is clearly shaken up and prays the pills she purchased for Hope are safe.

Meanwhile, Hope meets Thomas, Rick, Caroline and Liam at the Forrester mansion pool for a fun afternoon. An edgy Hope takes a pill and immediately starts to feel better, but an hour later her friends notice that Hope appears to be a little too happy and relaxed.

Liam asks his girlfriend if she is feeling okay, but Hope insists she is just trying to unwind and enjoy herself. She soon jumps on the diving board and starts to dance as if she doesn’t have a care in the world. However, when Liam is distracted momentarily by a conversation with his friends, he doesn’t realise that Hope has passed out and fallen into the water!

Luckily Liam gets to her just in time and fishes out Hope, who insists she fainted from not eating and refuses to be taken to the hospital. Amber later finds out about the incident and visits Hope to find she is still taking the medication. But when Amber finally confesses that she was the one who bough the pills in an effort to help, Hope wants more!

Later, an apprehensive Amber hands over more pills to Hope, assuring that this will be their little secret. Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn out to be a deadly one!

O&M launch Mineral CCT Colour

April 26th, 2012 by TV Soap | No Comments | Filed in The Magazine

.

Greg Whatling, Alan Buki, Cameron Rains, Jose Bryce Smith, Alex Henao and Wayne Lewis at the launch of O&M's Mineral CCT Permanent Hair colour.

Our very own ‘Get the look’ contributors at TV Soap, Wayne Lewis and Alan Buki from Original and Mineral, invited us to help celebrate the launch of ‘Mineral CCT Permanent Hair Colour,’ a culmination of ongoing research and dedication to product improvement.

Early this week, Original Mineral (O&M) invited beauty editors to a healthy Australian breakfast at Sydney’s high-rise restaurant, The Summit, to launch their new hair colour line.

The morning commenced with Co-Founder, Jose Bryce Smith and Technical Director, Wayne Lewis discussing the journey of the brand and outlining Mineral CCT’s promise for a safe, chemical-free future that wont compromise colour results.

By channelling the cutting-edge colour technology from an American research laboratory, O&M’s launch of Mineral CCT’s latest generation of permanent colours answers a demand from clients who are looking for a more natural solution with a professional result.

CCT stands for Clean Colour Technology, a new cutting-edge colour line that features 99 permanent shades, and 28 demi-permanent high-gloss shades, formulated without harsh chemicals – ammonia, resorcinol, and PPD.

The removal of these chemicals opens the colour service up to a wider scope of clients – not only the many allergic to PPD, but to those who push the parameters of ‘personalised colour’ one step further. The micro-colour pigment molecules and specialised minerals in the formula allow for the brightest fashion colours and healthiest results.

Jess, Sarah and Kelly model shades of O&M's new Mineral CCT hair colour line.

Appealing to all clientele is an active mineral complex including Illite, Kaolin and Montorillonite that work respectively to deeply penetrate for rich saturation, guard against colour fade and deliver a boost in hair and scalp health.

O&M’s new hair colour line not only achieves up to five levels of lightening, with such shads as O&M Pearl and O&M Keratin, but it also offers 100 per cent grey coverage for those who are reluctant to embrace the signs of ageing.

O&M’s Mineral CCT permanent colour range is now available at leading Australian and USA professional hair salons.

When EJ informs Taylor of his plan to end his relationship with Nicole, Taylor refuses to let him go through with it – saying that it would crush Nicole into a million pieces. Despite Taylor’s concern, EJ insists that even if Taylor leaves town, he and Nicole do not have a future together. She manages to get a hold of the DNA results and putting two and two together, she begins to suspect that EJ and Stefano may have imprisoned Rafe in their basement. She calls on a mysterious associate to see if he can match the DNA results from EJ and Stefano’s prisoner to Rafe, and once the proof arrives, Nicole is ready to plot her revenge.

Exactly what Nicole has in store for EJ and Taylor remains a mystery, but you can rest assured it’s going to be a well-crafted and extremely wicked plan!

They’re At It Again!

September 8th, 2011 by TV Soap | No Comments | Filed in Bold and the Beautiful, The Magazine

Whoever coined the phrase ‘there ain’t no rest for the wicked’, must have had The Bold and the Beautiful’s Steffy Forrester in mind.

In our latest issue of TV SOAP nothing is off limits for this scheming beauty – even breaking up a marriage!

Steffy has her sights set on Bill Spencer and nothing, not even his wife Katie, can deter her from her pursuing her love for him.

But in true B&B fashion, others are soon caught in the dramatic crossfire.

Trouble begins to surface when Taylor reveals to Ridge their daughter’s reckless goal and he  realises that there will be serious consequences if she succeeds.

But the situation soon escalates when Brooke walks on the pair’s conversation.

Stunned at the revelation Brooke accuses Taylor of turning a blind eye to Steffy’s pursuit of Bill, forcing her to admit she has known about the situation for quite some time.

However, Taylor is adamant that Steffy simply had a harmless crush and would quickly lose interest in the married man.

But  Brooke assures them Bill won’t be divorcing Katie anytime soon as he’s renewed his commitment to his wife.

Taylor begins to fret over how Steffy will respond to this news, much to Brooke’s disgust – in her opinion, heartbreak is exactly what the young homewrecker deserves.

Defending her daughter, Taylor warns Brooke to stop making Steffy out to be such a villain and even suggests that if Bill and Katie’s marriage were as solid as everyone thinks it is, another woman wouldn’t be able to come between them.

In response, Brooke advices Taylor to be prepared to console Steffy after she is told about Bill and Katie’s rekindled love, but Taylor has some advice of her own – that marriages end everyday and perhaps it should be Brooke preparing to comfort Katie.
